‘Pilgrims’ to vie at Italian filmfest

Iranian-Turkish flick ‘Pilgrims’ has been set to take part in the shorTS International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Iranian filmmakers Farnoush Samadi and Ali Asgari, the 16-minute film will be among the competing titles at the 22nd edition of the Italian event.

The short film is about two kids who decide to leave their village in search of their mother, who lives in Istanbul.

It represented Turkey at the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US.

The 2021 edition of the shorTS International Film Festival will be held in Trieste on July 1-10.
